Click outside the notification center and it’ll hide automatically. You can also swipe in from the right side of your Mac’s trackpad with two fingers. When you have more than one monitor active, open up System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement. To access the notification center, just click the button at the top-right corner of your screen the one on the far-right side of the top menu bar. You can move the Notification Center to another screen, however your entire menu bar goes with it. ![]() I, too, am annoyed by it covering up controls in my modeling applications, tabs in my browser, etc. I also have not been able to find or formulate any hacks. This is a huge gripe of mine as well, and I highly encourage you to complain about this issue to Apple here: Unfortunately, you can't change the screen position of the Notification Center Alerts and Banners.
